Most UAE visa delays aren't mysterious. They're the same five avoidable errors, repeated daily. Here's what they are — and how to dodge every one.
1. Blurry or cropped document scans
The number-one delay. A passport scan with glare over the machine-readable zone, or a photo with the corners cut off, gets bounced. Fix: retake in daylight, all four corners visible, text sharp. Send it to us first — we check before anything is filed.
2. Names that don't match the passport
Muhammad on the passport, Mohammed on the flight booking, Mohd on the form. Even small differences trigger verification questions. Fix: copy the passport spelling exactly, everywhere.
3. Passports expiring too soon
Many applications need at least six months of validity beyond your travel dates. A passport expiring in four months is a problem you can only solve by renewing first. Fix: check the expiry date before you start anything else.
4. Photos that don't meet the standard
Shadows, sunglasses, busy backgrounds, old photos that no longer look like you. Fix: fresh photo, plain light background, face the camera. A phone photo against a white wall is fine.
5. Applying at the last possible minute
We never promise processing times — timelines vary by nationality, season and workload. The honest fix is the boring one: apply as early as you reasonably can, so a small hiccup doesn't become a missed flight.
Notice the pattern: every one of these is caught by a careful pre-check. That's why ours is the first thing we do — before any application is prepared, let alone filed.
