Dubai Visa for Pakistani Residents in Ireland

Pakistani ordinary passport holders living in Ireland need a UAE visa before entering Dubai for a tourist visit. An Irish Residence Permit (IRP) does not by itself give you visa on arrival. Check the application route available for your circumstances before paying.

Prepare your Pakistani passport, national identity document, and current Irish residence details together. These records serve different purposes — one does not replace the others.

Put your Pakistani and Irish documents together

Before uploading files, compare your name, date of birth, and passport details across every record. Explain any difference caused by a passport renewal or name change rather than editing a document image.

Pakistani passport — your travel document. Use the passport you intend to present on the journey: a clear details-page copy (and a cover image if requested). For the standard tourist route, validity must be at least six months.

Pakistani national ID — supporting identity evidence. The standard checklist lists a country-of-origin identity card for Pakistani tourist applicants. Ask the submission team which CNIC or NICOP copy is accepted for your case — an Irish residence card does not fulfil the same purpose.

Irish IRP — evidence of your residence permission. Readable copies of both sides ready if requested. Check the expiry date against your return to Ireland, and if your passport changed since the card was issued, say which details are current.

The standard checklist also includes a personal photo, a departure or onward ticket, and UAE-valid medical insurance. Keep accommodation or host details ready for any supporting-document request.

On the form: Pakistan for passport nationality, Ireland for current residence. Enter your actual departure airport separately — it may differ if the Dubai visit is part of a longer journey.

Your Irish permission and your return

Your Irish permission documents your residence and your return — it does not turn a Pakistani passport into an Irish passport. Follow the entry rules for the travel document you will actually use.

Students: compare holiday dates with your IRP expiry and any upcoming permission change. A college enrolment letter alone is not a substitute for immigration permission.

Workers: use the Irish permission that applies now, especially after a job or status change. Do not assume every applicant needs a salary letter — or that employment guarantees a UAE visa.

IRP renewal pending? Check travel and re-entry requirements with Irish Immigration Service Delivery and your airline before leaving. A renewal acknowledgement does not replace a valid IRP for boarding, and a Dubai visa cannot resolve an expired or missing Irish return document.

Is Dubai the holiday, or a stop on your way to Pakistan?

The itinerary changes the entry and stay arrangements you need. Give the team all planned UAE visits, including a possible stop on your return to Ireland.

Example: Dublin → Dubai → Lahore → Dublin. If you enter Dubai for a short holiday before continuing to Lahore, your onward journey is to Pakistan. If you also enter the UAE on the way back, ask about a second entry — a single-entry visa does not automatically cover both visits.

If you only change flights in the international transit area, check the connection and baggage arrangements with your airline. Collecting bags through immigration, changing airports, or going into the city each needs a separate UAE entry check.

Submit your application from Ireland

1. Request a route check. State that you hold a Pakistani passport and live in Ireland, with your intended UAE dates and any pending residence-document renewal.

2. Review the quote. Confirm the visa category, permitted stay, entries, and total assisted-service charge before payment — see our current prices.

3. Upload and review. Submit the requested files, check every passport number and date, and keep your application reference.

4. Check the result. If approved, compare the issued visa with your passport and itinerary — read the last date for entry and the permitted stay separately.

Ask for a processing estimate once your file has been checked; further document requests can affect timing. Approval and admission remain decisions for UAE immigration.

Questions from Pakistanis living in Ireland

Does Irish residence remove the visa requirement for my Pakistani passport?
No. Confirm the advance application route for your circumstances before travelling.

Should I select Pakistan or Ireland as my nationality?
Pakistan, if applying with a Pakistani passport. Ireland is your current country of residence.

Can I use my Irish IRP instead of a CNIC or NICOP?
No. The IRP documents Irish residence; the checklist separately lists a country-of-origin identity card. Confirm which Pakistani national ID copy is accepted.

What if I renewed my Pakistani passport while living in Ireland?
Provide the current travel passport, disclose any mismatch with your Irish residence record, and check whether the record needs updating.

Can my onward ticket be to Pakistan instead of Ireland?
Your onward arrangements should match your actual itinerary — departure does not have to be back to Ireland. Confirm all ticket and entry-document requirements for your route.

Can I use the same visa for Dubai on both legs of my Pakistan trip?
Do not assume so. If you enter the UAE twice, check multiple-entry eligibility or the need for a new visa.

For a family travelling from Ireland, prepare each person's passport details individually — an Irish-passport child may have a different entry route from a Pakistani-passport parent.
