Dubai Visa for Turkish BRP & eVisa Holders in the UK

Applying for a Dubai visa from the UK with a Turkish passport? Your UK BRP or eVisa proves your residence status in the United Kingdom — but it does not make an ordinary Turkish passport visa-free for Dubai. The UAE checks the passport you travel on, so Turkish residents of the UK should arrange advance approval before flying.

BRP update: physical UK BRP cards have expired and been replaced by eVisas. Many travellers still search for "Turkish BRP visa", so this guide uses both terms — but check your current status through your UKVI account before travelling.

Do Turkish BRP and eVisa holders need a Dubai visa?

Yes, in the normal case. An ordinary Turkish passport holder needs a UAE visa before travel, even when living, working or studying in the UK. A UK BRP or eVisa supports your UK residence profile, but it is not a UAE visa and it does not give you British citizenship. Two separate checks apply: UAE entry permission, and your right to return to the UK.

UK eVisa checks before you fly to Dubai

Sort out the UK side first, so the airline can match your Turkish travel document to your digital immigration status:

Link the current passport. Make sure the Turkish passport you will fly with is the one added to your UKVI account. If you renewed your passport, update the account.

Review your eVisa record. Check that your name, date of birth and immigration status are correct and match what the airline holds.

Prepare a share code. A UKVI share code can provide extra evidence of your UK status when asked. Generate it only through the official channel, and share it only when requested through a secure route.

Do not rely on an expired BRP card for travel. An expired card is not your current digital immigration status — carry the valid passport linked to your UKVI account.

Documents for Turkish UK residents

The final checklist depends on the visa you choose, but prepare these first:

A clear colour copy of your ordinary Turkish passport bio page (usually with at least six months' validity); a recent personal photograph meeting the size and background instructions; accessible eVisa details or a UKVI share code as UK residence evidence; your return or onward journey details; and medical insurance valid in the UAE. Accommodation details or family-relationship documents may be requested during review.

If you renewed your passport: update your UKVI account and use the new passport everywhere. Mixing an old passport number in one system with a new number in another causes exactly the kind of mismatch that delays travel.

How to apply from the UK

Prepare the Turkish passport and current eVisa evidence first, then choose the UAE visa matching your real stay. On the form, select Turkish nationality — the passport you travel with decides the route, not your UK address. Enter every detail exactly as printed, upload clear files, and if approved, compare the issued visa against your passport before departure.

Turkish BRP & eVisa FAQs

Does a UK BRP give a Turkish citizen visa-free entry to Dubai?
No. UK residence does not turn a Turkish passport into a British passport. The UAE entry route is checked on the nationality of the travel document.

Can I travel on my expired BRP card?
No — travel with the valid passport linked to your UKVI account and check your eVisa details are correct.

Is a UK eVisa the same as a UAE eVisa?
No. A UK eVisa records your UK immigration status. An approved UAE visa is the separate permission to enter the UAE.

Should I select British or Turkish nationality on the UAE form?
Turkish — when travelling on an ordinary Turkish passport. Living in the UK does not make you a British citizen.

Is approval guaranteed for Turkish UK residents?
No. UK residence does not guarantee approval, processing time, or entry — the UAE authorities decide.
